Workshop Space

The space can be used for workshops by private arts and crafts tutors, and Gallery tutors, for meetings, for private functions and events.

• Lapunyah Art Gallery has two designated workshop/events spaces for hire by Arts and Crafts Tutors, workshop convenors, community and private groups, and private organisations 

• Western Downs Regional Council events, Meet’n’Greet Gallery Volunteer Groups (during gallery hours only), and exhibiting artists’ (Previews and/or workshop) are free 

Outside area:  

• Area of 7m x 9m  

• Cement with seating around perimeter and a large workshop bench and sink  

• All undercover  

• Chairs and portable tables are available  

• Internet and electrical ports are accessible but require additional cords/cable  

• Area is suitable for messy or larger workshops 

• Events – suitable for up to 40 participants  

• Events can extend out into Fuller Place – permission must be obtained by Hirer from WDRC Chinchilla Customer Service Centre  

Inside area:  

• Area of 8.5m x 6m  

• Inside space is not contained within internal walls and is a part of the Open Plan design of the gallery 

• Mobile partitions are available to cordon off the workshop space, if desired 

• Vinyl floor with tables and chairs available (6 tables and 24 chairs)  

• A small kitchenette, primarily for cleaning workshop equipment, but can be used for basic catering  

• A kettle, hot-pot, microwave and small fridge are available  

• Internet and electrical ports available  

• A large TV with HTML and AV access available, as well as projector and mobile screen  

• Recommended maximum of 12-14 children or 10 adults per workshop  

• Meetings using tables – up to 30 participants; events with participants standing – up to 60 participants 

AVAILABILITY OF WORKSHOP/EVENTS SPACE 

• Seven days a week during and after normal gallery opening hours 

• Time limits may apply 

• Due to designated timeslots for regular events e.g. Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc monthly meetings, some time slots may not be available 

• All free and paid bookings will be subject to prior Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc Committee approval
