Western Downs artists/creatives are invited to be an Artist of the Month@Lapunyah. 

• Space available is approximately 4 running metres; divided into one wall of 3 metres and space of 1 metre, suitable for a plinth or an easel.  

• A TV is available in the Gallery lounge area to display Videos and slide shows of photography or artworks 

• All mediums are accepted dependent on suitability for displaying in space (see ineligibility criteria below) 

• N.B. Workplace Health and Safety restrictions apply to positioning of artworks near a fire extinguisher and a Fire Exit door 

Terms and Conditions 

• Artist of the Month@Lapunyah Timeline and Terms and Conditions must be adhered to  

• No exhibition fees apply 

• Exhibition time is generally from the beginning of the month to the end of the month  

• All artworks must have been completed in the last 24 months from date of application  

• Artists who work or live within the Western Downs region may apply  

• Artworks may be offered for sale by artists; a commission of 20% is deducted from sales 

• Artworks may not be removed by artist or purchaser until end of the exhibition period 

• All artwork details including price CANNOT BE CHANGED once received  

• All artworks must be able to be hung or installed safely, and mediums used dry  

• Instructions must be given for any artwork requiring special installation 

• 2D artworks to have suitable D rings attached; these are available at Lapunyah 

• Top of the D ring should be placed 6cms from top of the frame for artworks over 30cm depth and 4cms from top of frame for works under 30cm depth 

• No wire or string to be tied between D Rings 

• Artwork must have label attached on lower left-hand corner on back, with artist’s name and the name of artwork  

• Lapunyah Art Gallery Installation Team will install all artwork  

• Lapunyah Art Gallery Installation Team will perform Condition Reports on all artwork  

• Photographs of artworks may be used for publicity purposes by Lapunyah Art Gallery, along with information as supplied by artist 

• Lapunyah Art Gallery takes all care but accepts no responsibility for theft or damage  

• Arrangements for freight, costs and transit insurance are the responsibility of artist  

• Artworks to be collected within 3 working days after demount or at a time agreed to by the Committee. After 30 days, unclaimed artworks will be dealt with at the discretion of art gallery committee 

• INELIGIBLE ARTWORKS: Artworks already displayed at Lapunyah; artworks created or designed using AI technology; artworks produced in a workshop or bridging copyright; artworks not reflecting the ethos of Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc
